The Human Lab
Real data.
Real people.
Real science.
Novrello was built on one conviction: the gap between published research and practical daily application is far too wide. We exist to close that gap — with no pseudoscience, no supplement hype, and no shortcuts.
Why we built this
The biohacking space is crowded with opinion dressed up as science. Influencers cite cherry-picked studies. Supplement brands fund their own research. Wellness content optimizes for clicks, not outcomes.
We took a different path. Between us, we bring over three decades of hands-on experience in medical technology and clinical nursing — fields where evidence standards are not optional. We applied that same rigor to our personal health, tracking sleep, recovery, and performance data continuously for over ten years.
Novrello is the site we always wished existed: deeply researched, clearly sourced, and written for people who want to make informed decisions about their own biology.
The Team
Jan Tore Boe
Founder & Lead Researcher
Jan Tore has spent over 30 years working in the medical technology industry — a field where understanding clinical evidence, device performance, and human physiology is part of the job. That background shapes everything written on Novrello: a commitment to primary sources, a skepticism of marketing claims, and a preference for mechanism over anecdote.
Outside the lab, he is an endurance athlete and dedicated self-experimenter, tracking his own sleep architecture, HRV, and recovery metrics using wearable technology since before most people knew what HRV stood for.
Linda Myreng-Boe
Medical Reviewer, RN
Linda is a registered nurse with a specialty in operating room care — an environment that demands precise clinical judgment, a thorough understanding of human anatomy, and zero tolerance for error. She reviews all health-related content on Novrello to ensure accuracy, appropriate scope, and alignment with current clinical standards.
Her review process flags unsupported claims, ensures dosage information is grounded in evidence, and verifies that our medical disclaimers are clear and appropriately positioned throughout the site.
And Alba — our three-year-old miniature poodle — who serves as an unwilling but enthusiastic test subject for the sleep quality research. She consistently scores better than either of us.
